Crystal Gayle's entry into Universal's ongoing budget-line hits series Icon distills her hits of the '70s and early '80s to the very best of the very best. There are some bigger hits missing, including her first Top 10 single "Wrong Road Again" and "Half the Way," but "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes," "Somebody Loves You," "I'll Get Over You," "You Never Miss a Real Good Thing (Till He Says Goodbye)," "I'll Do It All Over Again," "Talking in Your Sleep," and "Ready for the Times to Get Better" are all here, making this a terrific (and affordable) sampler of Gayle's peak. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
